So you're thinking about eloping in the adirondacks?

The Adirondacks are home to over 6 million acres of forest, lakes, waterfalls, and stunning mountains. Being the largest park in the continental US, it is the size of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier and the Great Smoky Mountains combined.

The Adirondacks are a hidden gem in Upstate New York, and honestly, the perfect elopement location.

Planning your Adirondack Elopement

Where to elope in the Adirondacks

Whatever type location you have in mind, the Adirondacks can offer it.

Some of the more well known places to elope include Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid, and Keene.

With over 2,000 miles of hiking trails and 2.6 million acres of public land, the options are endless!

Where to stay in the Adirondacks

The park is super vast as I've mentioned, so finding somewhere to stay in close proximity to your elopement location can be a challenge. There are plenty of lodges in the more well known locations, and lots of cute airbnbs and cabins for rent all over the Adirondacks.

Traveling to the Adirondacks

The Adirondacks are only a few hours drive from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia and Montreal. Another option is Amtrak's Adirondack Service, which was noted as one of The Top 10 Scenic Train Trips in North America. If you are traveling by plane, Adirondack Regional Airport, Plattsburgh International Airport, and Albany International Airport are good options to check out.
